Dr. Aleš Obr is a hematologist with a long-standing focus on malignant lymphomas, particularly mantle cell lymphoma (MCL). He works at the Hemato-Oncology Clinic of the University Hospital Olomouc, where he is involved in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with lymphoid malignancies as well as in the conduct of clinical trials. His research focuses on the molecular biology of MCL, the prognostic significance of genetic alterations and biomarkers, and their use for improved risk stratification and personalized treatment approaches. He is the author and co-author of scientific publications on lymphoma biology and treatment, including studies addressing the prognostic impact of TP53 and ATM gene alterations in patients with MCL. He is actively engaged in both clinical and translational research aimed at implementing new scientific findings into routine hematology practice. In addition, he is involved in medical teaching at the Faculty of Medicine, Palacký University Olomouc.
