Dr. David Šálek is a hematologist at the Department of Internal Hematology and Oncology, University Hospital Brno, where he serves as the lead physician responsible for the care of patients with non-Hodgkin lymphomas. Through his long-standing work in the department’s Lymphoma Clinic, he has been actively involved in the diagnosis and treatment of these patients. In addition to his clinical practice, he participates in clinical research, scientific publishing, and the teaching of medical students at the Faculty of Medicine of Masaryk University. He also combines his clinical expertise with translational research focused on advanced molecular analyses and disease monitoring in patients with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma. Dr. Šálek previously served as a member of the Executive Committee of the Czech Lymphoma Study Group and, following a several-year hiatus, was re-elected to the committee in 2026.
